Ethereum’s second-layer solution Matic Network is approaching its release on main net, and this is attracting many game developers to integrate the service into their blockchain games. The latest game to announce the integration of Matic is 0xUniverse. The second-layer solution allows for fast and cheaper transactions, which is very beneficial to the economy-driven space game.
Both 0xUniverse and Matic Network believe that the integration of the second-layer solution into the Ethereum-powered blockchain game, allows for a boost of blockchain interactions. Users from different blockchains will now also be involved into the game world a lot easier.
In the case of 0xUniverse, the developers at 0xGames will add a new galaxy to the game that embraces Matic. This new universe is a continuation of the story. In addition the game developers are also working on the Wars of Corporations update, which will add lots of social elements to the game.
Matic increasingly popular
Matic Network is getting lots of traction among blockchain game developers. This isn’t only happening because of their upcoming mainnet launch, but also because their competition has stepped away from the gaming scene. Loom Network wants to focus on business solutions, leaving all business-to-consumer (B2C) behind.
As a result Matic Network is busy acquiring lots of new gaming partners. Developers who built games inside Decentraland have already integrated Matic. This way users can for example gamble or play other small games against each other. The second-layer solution is also part of Chain Guardians, Light Trail Rush and others.
