Lucid Sight has released a big update for its blockchain-powered galactic economy game Crypto Space Commander. The user interface has seen a gigantic overhaul, including the chat system. In addition the development team is teasing some upcoming features that are still disabled, including a guild system, craftable resource containers and an insurance system.
The update for Crypto Space Commander affects all kinds of elements in the game. The gameplay screen, station hangar and user profiles have been changed significantly. In addition it’s now easier for users to filter through different types of items. Using the chat system, players can link their items in chat. There’s global, system, private and trade chat. As an extra there’s a way to search for users
Depending on the start system where a player is, player versus player combat is allowed or not. Three star systems are labeled as neutral areas. Upon entering for example 43 Beta Comae Berencies all Commanders will be warned to disengage all hostile activity. After three warnings the GFI Security Fleet will show up to destroy or chase away the aggressor. However, in the Proxima star system they will only issue one warning to Commanders, while individual users get EMP’d.
Crypto Space Commander is still in its alpha phase. It took Lucid Sight one year to develop the game from version 0.1 to version 0.9. However, this space game is still far from finished. Economy driven by trading resources
Crypto Space Commander can be found on Steam for $9.99. According to statistics on Steamcharts.com the game is being played by 50 people on average. This is a small amount of numbers, but these are very steady numbers as well.

With CSC currently in development, Lucid Sight is building an unique space game. In terms of its gameplay CSC has seen lots of growth in recent month. While the economy of the game is slowly growing as well.
According to NonFungible.com there have been 1200 trades in the past month, good for more than 54 thousand dollars in peer-to-peer trading volume. That’s 45 dollars per trade for in-game items, resources, blue prints and so on. OpenSea mentions 66 thousand items, including some based on Star Trek. For 135 dollars you can be the owner of the USS Voyager.
These numbers happen alongside the in-game marketplace. Crypto Space Commander launched an in-game marketplace in January. Players can sell items through a sales contract or by filling up an order. At the same time they can buy items from the market at a certain price, or place an order for a certain product paid with a certain currency.
