First person space adventure Alterverse Disruption is now playable on PC. Game studio Alterverse Inc. released a pre-alpha version of the game that includes the game modes Solo Raids and Freeplay Mode. In the coming weeks the studio will add Co-op Alliance Raids and the Adventure Quest mode to the game.
In Solo Raids players get to raid the treasury of Disrupter Starships. It’s a typical mission of get rich or die trying. Obviously these ships are heavily defended. Freeplay Mode allows gamers to check the game out without being challenged.
The pre-alpha release is only available to a limited amount of gamers. Only those who own an Elite Lifetime Citizenship, Limited Edition Game Server or an AlterVerse Founder’s Token can jump in. Those who’ve tested the game before, using a Steam key, can also join.
When the testing phase is complete the game will be released on Steam’s Early Access. Alterverse Disruption is the first playable game out of a total of seventeen games that make up the complete Alterverse.
Gamers who own a Disrupter Ship basically get to host their own game server. These can be heavily customized and they also earn a commission on sales of skins. In addition they can charge a small fee in Faces, the in-game currency, to play. They can also offer prizes to those who win the game mode.
The first batch of Disrupter Ships sold out pretty quick. Some of them can now be found on OpenSea, with a starting price at 1.1 ETH, which equals roughly 230 dollars.
Alterverse is part of the Enjin multiverse. This means that some tokenized weapons from the game can also be used in other games. In October 2019 the company announced a partnership with EnjinCraft. This allowed some items from EnjinCraft to become guns in Alterverse Disruption.
Developer Alterverse Inc. plans to release a new game in the Alterverse universe every two to three months. However, the release of this pre-alpha has already been delayed for a few months.
