The long awaited fusing feature to combine existing cards into new ones will soon be added to trading card game Gods Unchained. First the feature leaked after an update to the in-game marketplace, after which game studio Immutable underlined that the feature is near completion. They don’t have a release date yet, but Flux and Fusing will be among the next updates in the coming weeks.
“We’re giving Flux and Fusing some final testing to make sure they’re ready for release.”Gods Unchained – Reddit, February 6th 2020
Alongside the upcoming update for Flux and Fusing the developers of Gods Unchained work on more features. This week they’ve revealed a second champion called Neferu, who’s the champion of death. Her powers are all about sacrifice and afterlife. In the coming weeks Immutable will reveal more champions, as four still remain a mystery.
Immutable has also upgraded the marketplace. Now players can also search for cards through their web browser. Obviously gamers need a plugin like Metamask to connect the marketplace to a cryptocurrency wallet.
What is Fusing in Gods Unchained?
Gamers who play Gods Unchained will earn Core cards along the way. These cards can only be earned by playing the game or buying them from other players. Once they have multiple copies of the same card, they will be able to fuse them. The Fusing System combines these game cards and makes a non-fungible token out of them. For example, two plain cards create one bronze card. In addition three bronze cards create one iron card, four bronze create one meteorite, five meteorite create one shadow card, and five shadow cards become a golden card. Ultimately players can create a diamond card by combining five golden cards. Keep in mind, these numbers are from September 2019 and are subject to change.
And what is Flux?
Flux is the currency needed to fuse. Players will be able to earn Flux by simply playing online matches. This way Immutable wants to make sure that there are no bots active.
