Tron has officially been seeing more activity than Ethereum. On Friday November 9th the Tron network registered 1.367.000 transactions, surpassing Ethereum’s record of 1.349.000 transactions on one day. The rise in transactions comes mainly from betting applications like TronBet and TronDice, that both reached 200 million TRX payouts within a month.
However, according to the technical specifications of the Tron network, the amount of transactions at this moment is nothing compared with its potential. This decentralized network is build to handle 172 million transactions per day. Which means that the current 1.3 million is less than one percent of its potential.
Despite the success of the Tron network, they don’t have the all-time record in daily transactions. That honor still goes to the Waves platform, which handled 6.1 million transactions on October 21st.
With a market cap of almost 1.5 billion dollars, Tron is the 11th biggest crypto project on the market. TRX currently trades for $0.0227, and is down 1.2%. Ethereum is still the number two, with a 21.7 billion dollar market cap and a price of $210.87 per ETH.
Bitcoin is still the undisputed number one in the crypto space. It has 52.3% of the entire market cap, claiming over 111 billion dollars. Currently the bitcoin is priced $6396, as it has been moving horizontal between $6250 and $6700 since August.
