Over the past few weeks ten new mobile apps were launched that all use KIN as their native cryptocurrency. KIN was already being used by the Kik messaging app, but is now also usable in social media app Blastchat, tipping app Kinny, productivity app Pause For and beauty app Perfect365. This makes KIN one of the widely used currencies on the market.
The latest addition to the list of KIN supporting apps is Vent. In this app users are motivated to express their feelings. Some apps are available on iOS and Android, others are Android exclusive.
KIN was created as a cryptocurrency after Kik held an ICO last year. During that time $98 million dollars was acquired through funding. KIN was originally launched on the Ethereum network, but switched to Stellar to be able to use zero-fee transactions.
Despite the high liquidity KIN is not a top 100 coin according to data from Coinmarketcap. With a market cap of $38.3 million, the coin is currently valued at $0.000051. This is the lowest point since November 2017.
