In Spain 130 coffee bars have started to accept bitcoin as a form of payment. They won’t only accept bitcoin-payments, consumers are also allowed to buy them. A crypto startup called CycleBit wants to simplify the adoption of crypto by making its points-of-sale devices into ‘crypto gateways’.
Cyclebit is working with a Spanish franchise called Nostrum. That means that 130 coffee bars throughout Spain have just started to accept and sell bitcoin. Merchants receive a free customizable app for iOS and Android to accept payments from crypto wallets as well as traditional banks.
The crypto startup is now working on the integration of online and mobile stores. Each tool would provide an easy way for merchants to control and get insight into the transactions that have taken place.
